The largest of the Iowa gambling halls is the Meswaki Bingo Casino Hotel, an American Indian casino in Tama, with 127,669 sq.ft. of gambling room, 1,500 one armed bandits, thirty table games, like chemin de fer, craps, roulette, and baccarat, and numerous varieties of poker; as well as 3 eatery’s, daily productions, and gaming classes. A further big American Indian casino is the Winna Vegas, with 45,000 sq.ft., 668 slots, and 14 table games. Also, the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Council Bluffs is open 24 hours, with 38,500 sq.ft., 1,589 slot machines, 36 table games, and four restaurants. There are numerous other dominant Iowa gambling halls, which includes Harrah’s Council Bluffs, with 28,250 square feet, 1,212 slot machines, and 39 table games.
A smaller Iowa gambling hall is the Diamond Jo, a river based gambling den in Dubuque, with 17,813 square feet, 776 slot machines, and 19 table games. The Catfish Bend paddle wheel boat, in Fort Madison, with 13,000 sq.ft., 535 slot machines, and 14 table games. Another Iowa riverboat casino, The Isle of Capri, is available all day and night, with 24,939 square feet, 1,100 slot machines, and 24 table games. The Mississippi Belle II, a 10,577 sq.ft. river based casino in Clinton, has 506 slot machines, 14 table games, live entertainment, and Thursday 21 tournaments.
Iowa casinos provide a great amount of tax money to the state government of Iowa, which has enabled the funding of a good many commonwealth wide activities. Visitors have grown at a fast rate accompanied with the requirement for companies and an increase in employment.
